Payment & Lesson Policy

  • All lessons will be paid for at the first lesson of each trimester or at the first lesson of each month. A discount will be given for those who would like to pay by trimester. With this longer payment plan, tuition is due in January, June & September.
  • If student fails to show up with no contact made by telephone, no make up will be offered.
  • Missed lessons due to conflict or illness can be made up within 30 days from the missed date. Make-up lessons must be initiated by the parent/client.
  • Early notification of conflicts is always appreciated.
  • If a student needs to cancel due to illness, the cancellation must be made at least 3 hours in advance by a phone call on the day the lesson is scheduled. No make-ups will be offered if notified less than 3 hours, unless it is an extreme circumstance.
  • If a scheduled make-up lesson is missed or is not made up within 30 days, a second one cannot be scheduled.
  • Parents are encouraged to have their child attend all lessons and not use removal of lessons as a punishment as it is counterproductive to their progress and your investment in lessons.
  • If I cancel a lesson, the client has the option of taking an offered make-up lesson by my initiation or a reimbursement of funds at the end of the trimester.
  • If lessons are terminated before the end of the semester, payment will not be reimbursed.
  • String students will need a “wood” colored instrument (no sparkly Amazon violins). Purchasing or rental of instruments from any of the reputable stores listed on my website will be sufficient.
  • Piano students will need an 88 key digital keyboard with weighted keys for home practice.
  • Students will commit to daily home practice, no less than the length of their lesson, at least 5-6 days a week. Failure to do so, may result in being dismissed from the Bree Lewis Music Studio.
  • Please notify me of any health problems that I should be aware of and whom to notify in case of an emergency.
