Christopher Cobb – Violin, Voice, Guitar & Piano
Christopher Cobb is a young musician that studies violin and a range of other instruments at Temple Junior College. His goal is to graduate in 2015 as a violin performance major and also enjoys studying a range of sciences.
He has volunteered for the Harker Heights High School Orchestra and Guitar classes, directed by Jeremy Cameron & James Clarkson. A graduate of Harker Heights High School, they were both his previous violin directors. Christopher feels that music helps people find and express themselves in unadulterated forms and that it’s beneficial for the mind to witness it’s own creativity.
Ethan Groves – Drums, Guitar
Ethan Groves has been a musician since a young age. Since then, he has learned many different instruments such as Drums, Guitar, Violin, French Horn, Trumpet, and Piano. Most of his time revolves around writing and recording music which he posts online. Ethan dreams of making music his career, and becoming an Audio Engineer. He’s taught several people how to play guitar and drums, and he loves doing it. He is an advanced Guitarist and Drummer, and a proficient Violinist and Pianist. He is capable of playing many styles, and loves many genres of music. His favorite genres of music are Orchestral, Ambient, Metalcore, Indie, Trance, Drum and Bass, Hardstyle, and Rock. He believes it is important to learn and love all kinds of music in order to better yourself as a musician. Other than music, Ethan enjoys painting, playing video games, and spending time with friends and family.
Shawn Crump – Guitar
Shawn Crump is a guitarist who recently graduated from Harker Heights High School. He acted as an assistant teacher to the Classical Guitar Ensemble at HHHS, as well as playing cello in the Varsity Orchestra. Shawn has been teaching private guitar lessons since June 2014. Shawn is a musician at heart. Most hours of the day, you can find him playing music with his friends. He truly believes music is the best way to connect with a person, whether it be by giving music lessons, sharing a jam session, or even just by performing for a small audience of his peers. Aside from music, his top priorities in life revolve around the connections he shares with family and friends. Love and music make the world go round.
Debby Predroza – Flute, Music & Movement
Debby Pedroza teaches flute and music and movement classes. When she’s not teaching, she is hemming the pants of 150 of her daughter’s closest friends (in the Harker Heights marching band) and knitting Dr. Who scarves!
Heather Dayvis – Voice, Beginning Guitar & Guitar for Songwriters
Heather Dayvis has been singing and performing since she was 5 years old. She got her formal training at Florida School of the Arts in classical voice, dance, and acting. She loves helping people prepare for performances by working with student on vocals and stage presence.
Hyunjin Lee – Piano
Ms. Hyunjin has recently relocated to Killeen from Korea. She has played piano her whole life and also brings with her 10 years of private teaching experience. Besides her talent and love for music, she also holds a Bachelor of Counselling Psychology from the Korea Baptist Theological University. With her unique training, she is able to mix her two specialties and truly nurture her students while teaching them. Hyunjin says, “I love kids, and kids love me. I can help kids to learn the piano, while just enjoying themselves.”
